Winter Truffle (Tuber Brumale)
The Black Winter Truffle aka Tuber Melanosporum is widely known throughout world cuisine as “Perigord” Truffles, or in Italy as the “Nero Pregiato”, is considered the King of the black truffles. Generally looks rounded, but can also be irregular or lobed, normally it reaches a size of up to 10 cm.
Appearance: Winter Truffle has a dark skin with white and brown streaks and smells like bergamot.
Place of growth: Regions of Asia and Europe such as Iran, France, Spain and Italy, etc.
Uses: Unique aroma and flavor added to luxury foods such as pasta and sauces.
